What is the standard grading scale? ›

Common examples of grade conversion are: A+ (97–100), A (93–96), A- (90–92), B+ (87–89), B (83–86), B- (80–82), C+ (77–79), C (73–76), C- (70–72), D+ (67–69), D (65–66), D- (below 65).

What is a GPA? Your grade point average (GPA) is the sum of all your course grades throughout your high school career divided by the total number of credits. Most high schools (and colleges) report grades on a 4.0 scale. The top grade, an A, equals a 4.0.

Your grade point average (GPA) is the average result of all your grades and is calculated on a 7-point grading scale. 7 being the highest (HD), and 0 is the lowest (fail). Grading and Sizing

Grading is the process of taking the initial sample pattern (e.g. a size 8) and making the full range of sized patterns (sizes 2-24) for production. It is a separate industry from patternmaking and sample creation. Once a garment goes into production, grading the pattern is the first step.

In traditional grading, students are primarily measured by the percentage of work successfully completed. The assumption is that higher completion rates reflect greater mastery, and earn higher grades. Often 90% achieves an A, 80% a B, etc. In SBG, grading is based on demonstration of mastery.
